Hera came to our shelter during the last evacuation of animals from Avdiivka a few days before its capture. Despite the horrors of the war that she had to endure, Hera maintained her presence of mind and gives people a chance to gain her trust over time. Fully justifying her divine name, Hera is regal and phlegmatic, a very calm and cautious cat. She may seem a little unsociable at first, but care and attention from people helps her relax and begin to purr. Hera loves to lie on pillows, expose her luxurious coat for scratching, and receive treats.
